CM1 provides you with a variety of asset types, which enable you to put content with different data types and functions on your pages. An asset type is usually associated with a widget type that includes it and displays it on a page. You create an asset in the Finder or in the case of binary assets, in the Finder OR when you create binary content in a widget. Assets are stored in the Finderand are available to be reused. You can find out more about an asset by reading about the widget type that contains it. To see what an asset looks like on a page, preview a page containing it.
